Berlin’s central station is very nice. It has lots of platforms for trains going everywhere in and around Germany. It has a nice bakery on the ground floor, interesting elevators, and a McDonald’s on the first basement.

A huge structure on five levels. if you think a little, it's easy to navigate, figure it out and find everything you need. There are escalators, there are elevators. There are two ways out. Good pointers. You can find free places where you can comfortably sit in the warmth while waiting for your train. There are also paid waiting rooms, or for passengers with first class tickets. There are many shops and food outlets. The Bundestag and the Brandenburg Gate are nearby. There is also a Charite hospital nearby.
