Jacques Bonsergent is a station on line 5 of the Paris Metro, located in the 10th Arrondissement of Paris. Some facts about the station: It opened on December 17, 1906 as part of the launch section of the Que de la Rapée - Jacques Bonsergent and was the terminus of the line until November 15, 1907, when the line was extended to Gare du Nord station. Until February 10, 1946, the station was called Lancry. The renaming is connected with the memory of Jacques Bonsergent, a French engineer, a member of the Arz-et-Metier society, who became one of the first Parisians executed by the Nazis. The station is one of those that were renamed in honor of famous people who died in France during the Second World War.
