There are shops with souvenirs and alcohol, a cafe, and a smoking room on the second floor (to use it, you need to pay $2-3 at the cafe). And alcohol is purchased in a very peculiar way, you choose what you like, you pay with a boarding pass, the goods are packed and you are given a piece of paper with a number, you can pick it up only before boarding. This is how they try to prevent active libations in the waiting room, two years ago they introduced such a rule, after a fairly well-known flight. Unfortunately, I was a passenger on that flight, but now everything is fine.

It's not a big airport, everything is very long, there are not enough places. There are quite a few shops in the departure area, the prices are not cheap. Dog screening also works when boarding an airplane. The staff mostly speaks Spanish. Walk along the runway to the plane.

I was there in January 2022, during the last weeks of a relatively calm world. It was the only international airport in which boarding passes were not printed, but written out by hand. The shops are empty, there is nothing to buy there, the prices are very high.

We were refueling, flew in from Margarita Island, held us for more than 2 hours, Nord Wind did not even offer us water, although it was +29’ overboard!!!!! They did not explain the reason for the flight delay, and there is still a 16.5-hour flight to Moscow Sheremetyevo. Therefore, such a review is most likely evaluated as a review about the airline.

We took a tour to Margarita Island, the airport is small, but everything is very slow, inspection, check-in for the return flight took 1 hour 45 minutes, there are no airport trolleys. Long queues.There are many military and police officers, but 99.9 percent of the staff do not speak languages other than Spanish.

I'll add a plus to this airport. Venezuela is the love of a lifetime. The airport is compact, but clean and with excellent air conditioning, just like everywhere else on Margarita Island. As for the slowness of the inhabitants, we do not understand, since we do not live in such a paradise (I'm talking about climate and nature)🥰 island life relaxes and makes it easier to look at many things that seem incomprehensible to us🥰🫣😅 I realized it myself only by the end of my vacation)))

Unfortunately, I cannot leave a good review about an airport employee who is not clean on his hands. Our flight was on 03/16/2023, I had a terrible allergy and my condition was so-so. I just left my phone on the charger, on the second floor under the glass storefront, between the men's and women's toilets. And we were already urgently asked, because the flight was delayed, so I went, I remembered when I went up the ramp, but I did not expect that the airport staff were such vile people. Another girl forgot her phone, they brought it to her, but they didn't find mine ((((although after an official request from Pegasus, they said that they also brought it right on the plane. be careful, do not forget anything, otherwise such employees will steal and will not hesitate. I REALLY BELIEVE THAT HE WILL NOT BRING THEM HAPPINESS!
