Saint‑Sulpice Square is impressive in itself, but its main focus is the Four Bishops fountain. He has an interesting story.: first, at the beginning of the 19th century, the Fountain of Peace was erected here by order of Napoleon, and later the architect Louis Visconti created the very fountain that we see today. The fountain looks majestic: in the niches there are sculptures of four bishops from the time of Louis XIV, and each figure faces its own side of the world — north, south, east and west. Because of this, it is also called the "Fountain of Four Directions". Funny pun: the bishops were famous people, but they never became cardinals, so the name sounds like a pun. You stand next to it and feel that it is not just a decoration of the square, but a part of the history of Paris. The atmosphere is calm, but at the same time solemn — a great place to linger, sit and admire the architecture.

walking along Bonaparte Street from the Luxembourg Palace directly opposite the 6th Arrondissement City Hall on Saint-Sulpice Square in front of the church of the same name, I saw this wonderful fountain. I was much more interested in him than the church itself. It can be considered for a long time. There were practically no people around.
