Trier Cathedral is a place that makes a strong impression. This is not just a magnificent building, but a true guardian of Christian shrines. In the altar there is a chiton of the Lord, in the crypt there is a reliquary with the head of St. Helena, and in the sacristy you can see part of the chain of the Apostle Peter and even the strap from the sandal of St. Andrew the First-Called. There are also fragments of the relics of Saints Joachim and Anna. The atmosphere inside is special: silence, grandeur and a sense of deep history. The bishops of Trier are also buried in the cathedral, which adds even more importance to the place. Visiting the cathedral leaves a feeling of respect and awe — this is one of those churches where history and faith are intertwined in the most vivid way.
