The Fountain of Neptune (Fountain of Neptune-Triton) is a fountain located in the southern part of Piazza Navona in Rome, Italy. It depicts a marine scene with newts, dolphins and a shell. It was originally designed by Giacomo della Porta in the 1570s, and in the 1650s, Gian Lorenzo Bernini had a hand in working on it. [1] Bernini created a large terracotta model of the central figure, which Giovanni Antonio Mari used as a model when creating the final version.
