Let's move on to the kitchen. It's sad. It's some kind of tourist attraction. Belarusian cuisine is minimal. Everything is adapted for fast service. Borsch. Everything seems to be delicious. But for example, the ribs inside were not cooked, they were added when serving. Borscht is not homemade and tastes delicious on 4. Draniki. To be honest, they are thick and not fried. They break up into an upper and lower layer, but should be thin, crisp and whole. The sponge does not look like a sponge, it is a set of boiled lard in something sour cream, the sponge should be more dense and stringy. The pot didn't please me either, there was little meat, except for the top baked layer, nothing tasty, boiled potatoes and a little meat with mushrooms, little meat! There are good restaurants with Belarusian cuisine in Minsk. And the Goose is an attraction for the Zavodsky district, where nothing good has been for a long time. Let's be honest. 4. The only thing I dare to suggest is some changes to the text of the menu: the list of main dishes would be well decorated with accompanying texts under each of them, both under obvious ones like draniki: "Golden draniki with fragrant mash and three types of meat", and under the completely unobvious rustic Frying Pan, which is "Fluffy pancakes, glazes, mash with meat and crispy sauerkraut is like grandma's favorite, only better!" Such a presentation would simplify the choice for visitors and draw their attention to some items, as well as save the already busy waiters from having to tell the guests the composition of the dishes. Because personally, when I looked through the photos of the dishes before visiting the restaurant, I was very interested in these pancakes, and I was only able to figure out what kind of dish it was. Sometimes it happens that a place finds you by itself. You're not looking for dinner, but as if it's waiting to warm you up after a long day. The "White Goose" became such a discovery for us. You come in from a cool Minsk evening and you are embraced by real warmth. A fireplace, incredible fluffy lamps, as if woven from snow and clouds, create the feeling of a fairy tale, a quiet holiday to which you were invited without unnecessary words. But the soul of this place is, of course, on the plate. This is not just the "Belarusian cuisine" from the guidebook. It's a taste in which you learn something very personal, as if from childhood, even if you grew up far from here. The draniki are golden, with a crispy crust, and inside there is a gentle soul. borscht is not a soup, but a whole story: deep, rich, with the very "love" that is usually sought in homemade food. The portions are very generous. "White Goose" is not a point on the map, but the very place where you want to return to feel like you're home again, even if it's hundreds of kilometers away. Thank you for this evening and for your sincerity. We will definitely come back.
