Praia de Magoito Beach is a picturesque beach located on the west coast of Portugal About 30 km from Lisbon, near the village of Magoitu. It is surrounded by high cliffs with green slopes, creating an impressive contrast with the ocean. Sandy, but with unusual gray-golden shades due to the high iron content in the sand. There are restaurants and cafes nearby. Stairs and descent paths are available. There are rescue services available during the season. By car: From Lisbon it takes about 40 minutes (A5 highway, then N247). Praia de Magoito is a great place for those who like wild beaches with dramatic landscapes and want to avoid the crowds of tourists.
