I really liked the exposition and the museum itself! The permanent exhibition features traditional sherdaki carpets, ornaments, utensils, and wall hangings. Several halls are dedicated to painting. Of course, these are artists starting from the 30s of the 20th century. First the Russians, then the locals. A separate huge hall is dedicated to the works of textile artists reinterpreting traditional crafts. During our visit, there were 2 exhibitions of contemporary artists. Subtle, deep, beautiful! Entrance is 160 som Set aside at least 1 hour for a visit.

I am very pleasantly surprised. The museum features applied art, paintings, and sculptors. Sergey, the tour guide, took us through the halls, told us very interesting stories, but did not "load" us with information. Thank you very much. I advise and even strongly recommend it: a ticket plus an hour tour is only 260 SOM.

I came to the museum with my family and we booked a tour of the museum's main exhibit. And everyone really enjoyed it - both the museum and the tour (in Russian). The tour, by the way, is only 100 KGS, clear and interesting, presented in an accessible language, and perfect in timing (for those who have a limited amount of information and impressions, like ours) - 45 min. And, by the way, in general, this is a normal and inexpensive option to turn just "a set of some beautiful carpets and paintings" into a set of art objects, using the example of which the art of Kyrgyzstan and, in general, a cursory slice of events in the country become, mmm... They fit in my head in an understandable way. Here :)
