The Church of St. Amenaprkich (the Holy Savior). The building was built in 1858-1872 according to the design of architect Tadevos Andikyan and consecrated in 1873. The church is considered a significant landmark of the city and an important cultural and historical monument of the whole country. It stands out for its monumentality and elegance. It has massive walls, exquisite carved elements and dark basalt stone typical of Armenian temples. A monument was erected in the courtyard of the religious complex in memory of the victims of the Spitak earthquake. The church was severely damaged after the earthquake, and in 1995 it was decided to begin rebuilding the church. The restoration was funded by donations, but due to the difficult financial situation, it was stopped several times. The restoration of the facade was completed in 2014: the crosses were consecrated on June 21, 2014 and installed on the dome and bell tower.
