The Bolshoi is iconic. It Stages some very classic ballets and operas. The stage and seats and the chandelier are very ornate and beautiful. You feel like royalty when inside. There are guided tours also- check online about when and how. And ofcourse it’s a lifetime memory to watch an opera or a ballet at the Bolshoi.

Историческая сцена прекрасна! Для меня Большой театр- это классика, которая ассоциируются с вечерним платьями и костюмами на зрителях и классическими поставками. Расстраивает, что нет дресс-кода, т.к. многие приходят в джинсах, кроссовках, растянутых футболках, с пакатами из магазинов, как будто шли мимо и решили зайти.... и видеть на сцене артистов в кожаных куртках и кроссовках тоже вызывает непонимание.

An absolute must, if you can get tickets. Russian culture is the envy of the world and the Bolshoi ballet sits at the top. We managed to get seats (scattered around) to the Nutcracker just before New Year. The music and dancing nearly brought me to tears. The pinnacle of artistic expression.
