The church stands on the site of the martyrdom of Abbess Gayane, which gives it a special, slightly harsh atmosphere. Externally, there is classical strict Armenian architecture, inside there are ascetic stone walls and a stream of soft light that creates a feeling of peace and sanctity. And yes, this is not just a museum (although it is on the UNESCO list), but an active and highly revered place. Impressive👌.

When my family and I arrived there, people were celebrating their wedding. It was solemn and beautiful. We visited St. Gayane's Church and were very impressed. This place is filled with a special atmosphere of spirituality and peace. The architecture of the church impresses with its beauty and grandeur. The interior is decorated with great taste, and every detail here has its own meaning. I especially liked the murals and icons. It feels like a lot of love and work has been put into this place. Be sure to visit if you are in these parts. This is a real temple where you can not only pray, but also feel connected to history and culture. We took some photos and videos for family viewing.
