Terms of Use for Developer Console API

YANDEX Limited Liability Company (hereinafter referred to as Yandex) provides an Internet user (hereinafter referred to as the User) with Developer Console API available at: https://yandex.com/legal/developer_tech_ch under the terms and conditions set out herein (hereinafter referred to as the Terms and Conditions).

1. General Provisions

1.1. Terms and Definitions

Service means Developer Console API, which is a programming interface that makes it possible to obtain information on the limits, activated Yandex services and Personal Account (hereinafter referred to as the Personal Account) balance via the existing key.

API Key means a unique ID issued to the User and making Service functions accessible from their website(s).

Data mean information received from the Service and meant to be displayed to Users, including, but not limited to, user data, activated API services, available tariff limits, current Personal Account balance.

Personal Account means a personal account in the Developer Console.

1.2. The way the User uses the Service shall be governed by these Terms and Conditions, and:

By starting to use the Service or its certain functions, inter alia, having obtained an API Key, having signed up in the Service, having posted the service code at their website, or having used any other feature available in the Service, the User accepts these Terms and Conditions, and terms and conditions of all the documents specified in cl. 1.2 of the Terms and Conditions, in full, without reservation or exception, and undertakes to comply with them. It is only possible to use the Service under the terms and conditions other than the terms and conditions of the said documents subject to Yandex's prior written consent. If the User disagrees with any of the terms and conditions of the said documents, the User may not use the Service.

1.4. The User shall be held independently liable for compliance with the Laws when using the Service. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the term "Laws" throughout this text shall mean any applicable laws, including both the laws of the Russian Federation and the laws of residence of the User or a place, where they commit legally significant acts under these Terms and Conditions. If the User violates the Laws by using any feature of the Service, the User undertakes to cease using the Service.

1.5. These Terms and Conditions, and relations between Yandex and the User arising out of or in connection with the Service shall be covered by the law of the Russian Federation.

2. Terms of Use of the Service

2.1. To gain access to the Service, the User shall sign up as prescribed and obtain an API Key. Yandex may, at own discretion, deny access to the Service without giving any reasons. The User may not use any programs, devices, or other means that make it possible to obtain an API Key automatically or otherwise in violation of the procedure established by Yandex.

2.2. The User may only use the Service as part of web services freely available for public use. The User may not use the Service for projects requiring payment or otherwise limiting access for third parties. The sign-up requirement shall not be deemed to limit access under this clause.

2.3. The User may only use data and functions obtained through the Service as part of features provided by the Service.

2.4. When the User uses the Service, they may not delete, hide, or modify any data, trademarks, logotypes, links, or other references to Yandex or other bodies found in or obtained via the Service, as well as any other notices and/or information transferred by the Service.

2.5. The User may not change, decompile, and/or somehow modify the program code they obtained via the Service.

2.6. The User may not save, process, and modify Data received via API.

2.7. Yandex may set the maximum number of the Service hits. If the maximum number of the Service hits is exceeded, Yandex reserves the right to suspend access to the API.

2.8. The User may not use the Service to create web services, computer software, or otherwise, if such use violates the Laws, the documents specified in cl. 1.2 of the Terms and Conditions, and/or third-party rights and legitimate interests.

2.9. Yandex reserves the right to change, correct, or update the Service at any time, without a prior notice given to the User. When another stable version is released, Yandex announces its release on web pages of the Service. When a new version of the Service is released, Yandex does not guarantee that its outdated versions will operate stably and continuously. The User unwilling to use an updated version of the Service can continue to use an outdated version of the Service at their own risk or stop using the Service by deleting the respective code from the User's website(s).

2.10. Yandex may, at its own discretion, terminate or suspend access to the Service for the User without notice and with no reason given, particularly if the User fails to comply with the requirements of these Terms and Conditions.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

3.1. The exclusive right to the Service is vested in Yandex. The exclusive rights to the Data are vested in Yandex or other copyright holders. These Terms and Conditions do not authorize the User to use the Service or Data other than as directly permitted in the Service interface as per these Terms and Conditions.

3.2. Using the Service, the User grants to Yandex the right to use a logotype, trademark, and/or trade name of the User and/or the User's website for information, advertising, and marketing purposes with no need to secure any additional consent of the User and with no remuneration payable to the User for such use.

4. Disclaimer

4.1. Yandex provides the Service (including the Data) "as is". Yandex does not guarantee that the Service and Data are fit for the User's purposes and expectations, the Service and its certain components and/or functions operate uninterruptedly and error-free, and does not guarantee the reliability, accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the Data. Yandex does not guarantee the uninterrupted and error-free operation of third-party software products and solutions (including libraries) recommended in technical specifications and other Service-related documents to run the Service.

4.2. The User will be held solely liable, in full, for using and safekeeping their API Key. The User may not obtain an API Key for third parties, transfer, or provide it to third parties. Yandex will not be held liable for unauthorized use of the API Key by third parties. All actions performed in the Service with the API Key belonging to the User will be deemed to be performed by the User.

5. Final Provisions

5.1. Yandex may, without notice and at its own discretion, terminate or suspend access to the Service or its certain functions for the User with their Personal Account and/or API Key used, without giving any reasons, inter alia, if the User violates the requirements of these Terms and Conditions.

5.2. Any questions and claims related to the use/unavailability of the Service shall be sent via the feedback form at apikeys-bugs@yandex-team.ru.

5.3. Yandex may change the text of these Terms and Conditions at any time without notifying the User. The current version of these Terms and Conditions is available at: https://yandex.com/legal/developer_tech_ch. A new version of these Terms and Conditions shall become effective once posted online at the URL specified in this paragraph. Any continued use of the Service after the Terms and Conditions have been amended will qualify as the acceptance of the new version. The User shall stop using the Service, if Yandex has made any changes to these Terms and Conditions the User disagrees with.
