Terms of Use of Yandex Monitoring

This document constitutes the Terms of Use of Yandex Monitoring (“Service”) and is an integral part of Yandex.Cloud Customer Agreement (“Agreement”) and Service Terms set forth at https://yandex.com/legal/cloud_service_terms. Capitalized terms used herein but not defined herein shall have the meanings set forth in Agreement and Linked Documents.

1. Functional Features of the Service

1.1. The Service enables the Customer to collect, store, analyze, and upload the data related to the Platform resources used by the Customer or Own Resources with an option of Graphic Visualization of such data in various formats. The functional features of the Service are fully described in the technical specifications and Service Documentation available on the Site.

1.2. The Customer is provided with the following options as part of the Service:

  • to collect, store, and upload the data related to the Platform resources or Own Resources;
  • generate Graphic Visualizations containing relevant data related to the Platform resources used and Own Resources;
  • set up and consolidate various Graphic Visualizations;
  • configure checks (Alerts) based on data from the Platform resources used, as well as Own resources;
  • Configure notification channels and escalation policies for notification of triggered checks (Alerts);
  • Send notifications about triggered checks (Alerts) to recipients specified in the notification channels and escalation policies of the Client. Notifications can be sent to recipients by sending e-mail messages, SMS messages, push notifications to the Yandex.Cloud mobile application, messages to the Telegram messenger, and calls to a mobile phone.

1.3 other functional features of the Service, which Yandex makes available to Customer. Functional features of the Service are described in Documentation on Site and/or in the Management Console.

1.4. Service Level for the Service is determined in SLA.

2. Pricing

2.1. The use of the Service is chargeable.

2.2. Service Fee for the Service is determined according to the rates and billing units specified on the Site. Yandex may change Service Rates as prescribed by Agreement.

2.3. Service Fee for the Service depends on the number of transactions performed, as well as on the amount and type of the data recorded and read.

2.4. As part of the Service, the Customer may be additionally charged for other benefits used by Customer and related to the use of the Service are charged separately.

2.5. As part of the Service, the Customer may take advantage of special price and discount offers announced on the Site and/or in the Management Console.

3. Data processing

3.1. When using the Service, the Client instructs Yandex to process personal data that may be contained in the Service on behalf of the Client.

3.2. The Data Processing Addendum (posted on the Internet at the following addresses) applies to the relations of the Parties when using the Service: https://yandex.com/legal/cloud_dpa/) in the part that does not contradict these terms and conditions, as well as taking into account the functional features of the Service. In case of discrepancies between the Data Processing Addendum and these terms, these terms shall prevail.

3.3. The Client can express his consent to receive notifications from the Service by configuring the advising parameters in the notification channel. Setting such parameters means that the Client:

  • agrees that information from the notification channel (phone number, telegram account login, email address) will be used by Yandex to send notifications under the terms of the privacy policy (https://yandex.com/legal/confidential/);
  • certifies and guarantees that he has received all necessary legal grounds for the use of the specified data by Yandex.

4. Limitations

4.1. The Service envisages a number of restrictions listed in the Quotas and Limits section of the Site.

Definitions:

“Graphic Visualization” is the relevant data related to one or more Platform resources used by the Customer, or to Own Resources, represented in the form of a graph;

“Own resources” are Customer's own software and hardware resources such as: software, applications, and so on, not belonging to Yandex.Cloud Platform.

“Alert” is a named set of rules for notification of deviations in data values, with the ability to set thresholds for determining deviations.
