Virtual Network Developer (Overlay)
Our team handles network connectivity within Yandex Cloud. We transfer terabytes of traffic between virtual machines and work with related teams to ensure connectivity with the outside world. Our services have to be fault-tolerant and stable enough to handle large traffic volumes. What we do:
- Boost stability even as the number of installations climbs
- Improve monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Improve performance while serving a growing number of customers
Tasks that await you
- Develop a variety of services
- Profile and optimize your own and other code
- Develop monitoring tools
- Provide technical support for the service
- Take shifts monitoring the service
We expect that you
- Capable of writing reliable, high-performance code
- Know C, C++, Go, or Python (or want to learn)
- Familiar with the network stack
Preferred qualifications
- Worked with the Linux kernel network subsystem, familiar with kernel module development
- Built distributed, fault-tolerant services
- Well-versed in virtual networks and overlays, network protocols, routing and tunneling, BGP, and MPLS
