Technical Operations Lead

In late 2016, Yandex established its self-driving division, with road tests beginning in December 2017. Our world-class engineers were able to repurpose some of the prediction models developed for the company’s cars to its robots, predicting where pedestrians might walk and more. In just one year, we’ve made more than 150,000 deliveries in cities around the world. You will sit squarely at the intersection of product and operations with the opportunity to help define and refine the foundation of product operations.

• Proactively identify risks and build mitigation strategies for operational activities
• Investigate potential product bugs/issues and work with product and engineering teams on further improvement
• Work with product, operational, and support teams to assess and advise on the operational impact of the robot delivery project
• Dive into product and engineering teams to understand their pain points, developing processes and best practices to address gaps
• Manage invoices/payments with partners
• Set up processes for support teams and product managers so they can meet regularly to triage and prioritize highest-frequency/impact support tickets, bugs, and feature requests
• Collaborate with the fleet product ops team to drive consistency in best practices across the fleet

• 5+ years of experience in project management, product development, or operations
• Proven ability to influence without authority and willingness to unblock issues with both first- and third-party relationships
• Familiarity with tech and experience working cross-functionally with tech teams including operators, engineers, program managers, and legal teams
• Ability to create the project plans needed to stand up and run a sizable program that impacts multiple teams
• Deep understanding of operations and the ability to translate real on-the-ground insights into tangible recommendations and actions
• Global mindset and ability to think across disciplines, industries, cultures, and scenarios
