Sourcing Specialist (Shenzhen, China)

The Sourcing Specialist will work as part of the sourcing team and be responsible for sourcing new suppliers; managing supplier performance, policy compliance, and claims; and PO management and fulfilment.

  1. Sourcing new suppliers:

• Visit fairs and websites to find the top factories for particular products
• Introduce Yandex.Market to new suppliers and build contact channels
• Collect basic factory information using a set template
• Work with the product leader to develop and select suitable models

  2. Managing supplier performance, POs, policy compliance, and claims:

• Run the contact window for assigned suppliers’ daily business operations
• Monitor business changes for suppliers, be proactive to work around them
• Handle claim collection and other finance tasks
• Ensure supplier manual/policy compliance
• Work with production leaders to monitor the latest production schedule

  3. PO management and fulfilment:

• Fulfill vendor POs and follow up with shipping schedules, facilitate order revisions/maintenance, and lead time discussions
• Continuously monitor vendor projections and material stock
• Negotiate PO changes as necessitated by business demand

• 3+ years of practical experience at a sourcing office, retailer, e-commerce company, or similar
• Proficient spoken and written English
• Experience in consumer electronics, home appliances, tools, kids products, or lighting (preferred)
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Superior communication, presentation, and listening skills
• A strong sense of ownership and high level of accuracy
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to coordinate production control
