IP Legal Counsel

Yandex is looking for an IP Legal Counsel with three or more years of experience with contracts related to media content (including music and video).

Drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide variety of agreements on media content acquisition or distribution for Plus Funtech services (Kinopoisk, Yandex Music, Plus Studio, and Bookmate), including term sheets, license agreements, assignment agreements, and option agreements
Drafting, negotiating, and advising on a broad range of media content production and development-related contractual documentation, including film production agreements
Providing legal advice on other IP legal matters related to media content, for example, rights and clearance issues
Identifying and mitigating legal risks regarding the use of intellectual property

Are a qualified lawyer with a license to practice law in Russia and/or a common law qualified lawyer
Have a minimum of three years of experience at a law firm or comparable in-house position
Possess extensive knowledge of intellectual property laws and contract laws, as well as related regulations in Russia and the CIS region
Have excellent writing and drafting skills in Russian and English
Are able to work efficiently both independently and as part of local and regional teams
Have excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with the ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple and high-priority projects efficiently

Have an extensive knowledge of the laws of England and Wales, including contract laws
Have a significant understanding of the intellectual property laws of CIS countries
Hold an LL.M degree or have acquired other foreign legal qualifications or certificates
