Financial Controller

We are looking for a financial controller to undertake all aspects of financial management for Yandex operational legal entities in the country, including local, tax, corporate, and management accounting as well as regulatory and tax reporting. You will also be establishing and executing internal control policies and procedures.

• Manage all accounting operations in corporate accounting systems, including timely financial statements and regulatory reporting
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting, including all consolidated accounting modules
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings
• Lead the integration of new business with the corporate and local accounting system from a finance perspective
• Liaise with senior management and peers in the business, finance, and IT to lead the design and development of systems to improve and automate processes
• Liaise with internal and external auditors
• Regularly reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts
• Manage all requests to and from local tax advisors and outsourcers, including payroll and social package providers
• Lead all financial processes and procedures, including purchasing for local entities and docflow for local and management accounting
• Support business requests from a finance perspective
• Support month- and year-end close processes

• Fluency in English and Russian
• Experience as a Financial Controller
• 5+ years of overall finance experience, including with an international corporation
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-/year-end close processes
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• ERP experience
• Strong influencing, facilitation, and communication skills
• Forward-thinking approach with a commitment to improving management accounting processes

• CPA or CMA
• Oracle experience
