Customer Solutions Manager (Kazakhstan)
Yandex Geo services simplify urban life by helping people get where they need to go in the city. We are the Yandex Maps API team, providing a diverse set of Geo-tech-based APIs and SDKs to B2B clients. Our goal is to help businesses search better, plan routes, and navigate both the online and offline worlds effectively. We operate worldwide and currently have clients in numerous countries across various industries, including e-commerce, telecommunications, e-grocery, delivery services, banking, and classifieds.

We are growing rapidly and looking for an experienced Customer Solutions/Tech Presale Manager to support our service in the CIS and MEA. This position is based in Almaty, Kazakhstan, with possible business trips to other countries.

Tasks that await you

Work closely with the sales team to explain technical details to clients
In this role, you will collaborate with the sales team to determine the proper solutions for clients, as well as organize, train, and equip the sales team. You will also identify gaps in preparedness to ensure the sales team is properly trained and equipped to successfully support annual business goals. Additionally, you will work with the sales team, customer support, product management, marketing, and engineering to resolve product issues that affect pre and post-sales customer satisfaction.

Provide consultations, implementing product integration and managing support requests
You will provide our clients with detailed instructions on our API integration, which powers all business aspects, including customer-facing interactions. You will delve into our clients’ operational needs for a better understanding, connect various functions from the client's systems to features in our API, and manage the end-to-end integration process.

Provide application modernization expertise to support the product and technical relationships with our customers
You will collect feature requests and feedback from our customers to improve our products, collaborate closely with the product and development teams, and manage and coordinate the necessary steps to drive the implementation of new features in products.

We expect that you

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or have equivalent practical experience
  • Have one year of experience as a pre-sales manager or customer solution manager
  • Have experience working with geo-services from various vendors such as Google, Here, and Mapbox
  • Understand basic technical tools (APIs, making API requests from any tool, basic SQL) and are ready to quickly learn new ones
  • Possess project and product management experience and are able to communicate with different types of people, including product managers, developers, and analysts
  • Are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Have fluent spoken and written English

It'd be a plus if you

  • Understand the mobile development process at the architecture level
  • Have an analytical mindset and the ability to structure information and processes, and be able to express goals and results in measurable terms
  • Have experience in consulting
  • Can present to both technical and non-technical audiences, engaging C-Level stakeholders
  • Are fluent in Russian and/or Kazakh
