Country Manager

Yango is a taxi ordering platform that makes everything much easier and faster. It operates in over 600 large cities across 17 countries.

We’re looking for a Country Manager in Northern Africa to identify the partnerships needed to operate locally, work with the expansion team to determine go-to cities, build launch and expansion strategies, onboard and coordinate local partners and stakeholders. In this regard, we’re looking for a Country Manager who will lead the expansion of our new business. You will have full responsibility over the successful launch of a new market.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify the partnerships needed to operate locally
  • Onboard, consult, and coordinate local partners and stakeholders
  • Prepare market analysis and coordinate with the expansion team to determine go-to cities
  • Coordinate with GR/legal/tax to ensure compliance with local laws
  • Build launch and expansion strategies

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Complete understanding of the local market and the ability to deep-dive into it
  • Results-oriented attitude with a strong bias toward action (you will spend a lot of time in the field and need to be autonomous, self-reliant, and resourceful)
  • Good communication and negotiation skills with a natural ability to build relationships
  • Get-it-done attitude (you will need to execute quickly and get a lot done in limited time periods with limited resources)
  • Passion for challenges and a hands-on attitude (you’re comfortable working under tight deadlines and are ready to roll up your sleeves)
  • Fluency in French and English
