Chief Accountant (Belgrade, Serbia)
We are looking for a Chief Accountant to oversee all aspects of financial management for our legal entities in Serbia, including local, tax, corporate, and management accounting, regulatory and tax reporting, and the development and implementation of internal control policies and procedures.
Tasks that await you
Managing accounting operations
You will oversee accounting processes in corporate systems, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements and regulatory reporting.

Controlling financial quality
You will monitor the quality of financial transactions and ensure consistency across consolidated accounting modules.
Ensuring regulatory compliance
You will handle compliance with local and international tax and regulatory requirements and supervise all tax filings.
Integrating new businesses
You will lead the financial integration of new businesses into local and corporate accounting systems.
Collaborating across teams
You will work with senior management, finance, and IT teams to automate accounting workflows and improve financial systems.
Supporting audits and reconciliation
You will coordinate with auditors and regularly reconcile P&L and balance sheet accounts.
Supervising local finance processes
You will manage relationships with outsourcers and oversee payroll, purchasing, and documentation flows.
Supporting financial closings
You will contribute to month- and year-end closings.
We expect that you
- Are fluent in English
- Have experience as a Chief Accountant
- Bring 5+ years of finance experience, including in an international company
- Understand accounting principles and general ledger functions
- Are skilled in month- and year-end closings
- Possess advanced Excel skills
- Have experience working with ERP systems
- Communicate clearly and influence effectively
- Seek opportunities to improve accounting systems and processes
Preferred qualifications
- Are proficient in Russian
- Hold a CPA or CMA certification
- Have experience with Oracle
