Backend Developer

The HR tech team builds Yandex’s internal services, and we’re looking for someone experienced who loves big systems and conquering engineering challenges as much as we do. You’ll be working on Femida, the service we use to find, evaluate, and hire new Yandex employees. Our stack: Python, Django, Celery, asyncio, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.

• Quickly and effectively roll out new functionality
• Scale, optimize, and accelerate our services
• Work with other teams to reuse internal tech, including from our biggest internal services
• Standardize development and processes
• Experiment and find interesting new solutions

• Experience coding in Python with the Django framework or a willingness to transition to it
• Familiarity with web services
• Ability to write clean, clear code
• Ability to explain your solutions and find common ground with colleagues
• Familiarity and experience working with relational and non-relational databases
• Sensitivity toward user desires and pain points
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team
