# Notifications

Yandex services use push notifications to send different helpful messages such as weather warnings, traffic data.


## Enabling or disabling notifications {#setpush}

To enable notifications:

   Go to ![](../_assets/profile-icon.svg) **(profile picture)** → **App settings**.

1. Under **Notifications**, tap **Push notifications**.
1. Select the notifications you want to receive.


## Problems with notifications {#nopush}

To receive notifications, you need to allow them in your device settings and the app settings.

#### App settings

1. Under **Notifications**, tap **Push notifications**.
1. Make sure all the necessary permissions are granted.

#### Device settings

1. Open the device settings.
1. Find and tap **Yandex Start** in the list of installed apps.
1. Disable notifications.

By default, notification sounds are off. You can enable them in your device settings.

1. In the device settings, go to **Apps and notifications** → **Notifications** → **Show all apps** → **Yandex Start**.
1. Select the type of notification, such as weather, and tap **Notification**.
1. Repeat the action for all the types of notifications you need.

Make sure that all notifications are disabled.

#### App settings

Make sure push notifications are disabled. Tap **![](../_assets/profile-icon.svg) (profile picture)** → **App settings** → **Push notifications**.
