Document scanner

You can use the Yandex Start app to scan documents. The program automatically increases the contrast and highlights the text area.

Note

Allow Yandex Start to access your camera and files in the device settings.

Open the Yandex Start app.
On the Home screen in the SmartBox, tap to open Smart camera.
Select Scanner mode.
Point your camera at the document or choose it from your device's gallery. Take a photo.
Select document mode:
- Original: The document area is displayed as a photo without any additional processing.
- Scan: A processed photo (text selection, increased contrast).
- Black-and-white: A processed photo, only black and white colors without gradients.
You can also:
- : Rotate the document 90° to the left.
- : Rotate the document 90° to the right.
- : Crop the document.
- : Delete the document.
On the bottom panel, tap:
- Add page: Scan one more page.
- Retake: Scan once again.
- Save: Name the file, select the document format (PNG, PDF, or JPG), and choose where to save it or who to share it with.
