Setting up on D-Link routers
For a list of routers with built-in Yandex DNS support, see the D-Link official website. Yandex DNS can be configured for individual devices or for all devices at once.
Update the router firmware before setting up Yandex DNS:

Open the settings page:
- If you have a DIR router, in the address bar, enter
192.168.0.1
or http://dlink-router - If you have a DSL router, in the address bar, enter
192.168.1.1
- If you have a DIR router, in the address bar, enter

Enter your username and password.
Note
Sign in using the default username and password —
admin
/admin

Update the router firmware to the latest version:
- For the software ver. 3.0.0 and higher (new interface);
- For the AIR interface (old interface).

If you couldn't find the section for enabling Yandex DNS in the router settings, specify the DNS addresses manually.

Select the filtering mode for all devices:

Open Yandex.DNS → Settings.

Enable Yandex DNS.

In the Default mode section, select the filtering mode for all the connected devices.

Click Apply.

Assign custom modes for individual devices, for example, Family mode for your child's laptop:

Go to Yandex.DNS → Devices and Rules.

Under Rules, click
.

In the Known IP/MAC addresses drop-down list, select the desired device.

In the Name field, add the name of the device.

Select the Yandex DNS mode for the device.

Click Save.

If you couldn't find the section for enabling Yandex DNS in the router settings, specify the DNS addresses manually.
Quick setup
Using quick setup, you can assign one mode for all devices — Family or Safe:
- Open the page Start → Information.
- Under Secure Internet from Yandex, click Enable.
All devices registered on the network will work in Safe mode.
To select Family mode for all devices, in the In the parental mode line, click Set as default.
Advanced
With advanced settings, you can assign a custom profile to individual devices, for example, your child's desktop:

Select the filtering mode for all devices:

Open Yandex.DNS → Security Setup → Settings.

Under Yandex.DNS, select Enabled.

Under Select default mode, select filtering profile for all the connected devices.

In the upper-right corner of the page, click the notification Device Configuration has been changed.

Assign custom modes for individual devices:

Open Yandex.DNS → Security Setup → Devices.

Under Rules, click Add and select the desired device in the Known IP/MAC addresses drop-down list.

In the Assigned name field, add the name of the device.

Select the Yandex DNS mode for the device.

Click Apply.

In the upper-right corner of the page, click the notification Device Configuration has been changed.
Note
All the new devices which a separate filtering mode is not selected for are displayed in the section Customers without rules.
