Personal data management

The Yandex app saves data for a more convenient experience. This includes autofill data or URLs of the pages you visited. You can delete this data.

Deleting data in the app

  1. On the Home screen, tap  (profile icon) → App settings.

  2. Tap Privacy.

  3. Enable the options you need:

    • Clear history: URLs of the pages you visited.
    • Clear browser cache: Copies of some data from the pages that you visited (such as music, videos, images, and so on).
  4. Tap Clear data.

Personal data management on Yandex services

When you use Yandex services, they retain your data - for example, your browsing history. We store this data securely and protect it well: all our storages comply with SOC 2, one of the most secure international standards.

To manage your personal data, go to Your data on Yandex.

  1. Open Your data on Yandex and make sure you are logged in under the correct Yandex ID.
  2. Tap Download data.
  3. Tap Prepare archive.

When the archive is ready, Yandex sends you a notification. If you don't have a Yandex email address, you can learn the archive status only from the information on the page.

Note

The archive is password protected. To learn how to get a password and open the archive, go to Help for Yandex ID.

  1. Open Your data on Yandex and make sure you are logged in under the correct Yandex ID.

  2. Go to Delete data and tap the button with the name of the service. A list opens with all types of data that Yandex stores for this service.

    Note

    If the service you need is not in the list, tap Other services at the bottom of the list.

  3. Select the row with the data type.

  4. In the window that opens, tap Delete. If you decided not to delete the data, tap Cancel.

After deletion, almost all data immediately becomes unavailable. Yandex will store some types of data for some time, because this is required by law.
