Configure notifications
Notifications are enabled by default, so you'll get new messages and incoming calls on time. If any chat or channel distracts you, you can disable notifications from them in the settings for that chat or channel. To avoid disturbing contacts late at night, send them silent messages. You can manage notifications in the Profile section — tap your profile picture in the bottom-right corner of the screen. We recommend that you keep them enabled so you don't miss anything important.
If you enable notifications in the settings of a certain chat but disable them in the general settings, you won't receive notifications.
Receive notifications during calls and meetings
The In meeting status appears next to your profile during a call or video meeting. By default, notifications are disabled in this mode to help you focus on your call or meeting. If you need to stay in touch during meetings, tap your status to enable notifications. How to change your status
