Login and settings
To log in to Yandex Telemost, select your account in the app or create a Yandex ID if it's your first time.
Name and photo
You can set your name and photo in the Yandex Telemost app. That way everyone in the meeting will know who you are.
Alert
Your name will also be used in comments and reviews on Yandex, and the photo will appear in all Yandex services.
You can change your name and photo:
Before or after the meeting
- Log in to Yandex Telemost if you haven't yet.
- Tap → Change name and picture.
During the meeting
- Pull up the control panel .
- Click Change name and photo.
Note
If you're not logged in, Yandex Telemost will prompt you to enter your name manually every time you join a meeting, and a photo is randomly selected from a standard set of images.
Selecting an audio source
Yandex Telemost selects the audio source automatically. During a meeting, you can change the audio source manually (for example, turn on the speaker or connect wireless headphones):
- Pull up the control panel .
- Click Audio source.
- Select Phone, Speaker, or Bluetooth device, or mute the sound.
Note
If you turn off the sound, you won't hear other participants. If you don't want other participants to hear you, turn off your microphone.
Microphone and camera access
When you create or join a meeting for the first time, the app requests access to your device's microphone and camera. You can allow access immediately in the notification or later in your device settings.

Mobile device manufacturers may change the Android interface. Below are the instructions for unmodified Android.
- Open your device settings.
- Tap Apps and notifications → App permissions → See all apps.
- In the list of apps, select Yandex Telemost.
- Tap Permissions.
- Turn on Camera and Microphone.

Virtual background
Virtual background is not available in the Yandex Telemost mobile app. To enable a virtual background, use Yandex Telemost for desktop.
