In all chats

You can use search to find people, messages, or chats.

  1. Click the Search box or press Ctrl + G (Cmd + G on macOS).
  2. Enter your search query. Use global search or enable filters to search only for people, messages, or chats.

In a specific chat

In a chat, you can search for:

A message, file, or link.
  1. Open a chat.
  2. Press in the upper-right corner.
  3. Enter your search query. Indicate what you're looking for: a message, link, or file.

Click to select an action with the file or link (go to the chat message, copy, forward, or share it).

  2. In the upper-right corner, tap for iOS or  → Search chat for Android.

  3. Go to the Images tab.
