Channels for authors
Create a channel
- Open Yandex Messenger.
- Press
→ New channel.
Add a message to a channel
Channel messages must meet the service requirements.
To post messages, use the Yandex Messenger app or web version. Alternatively, you can use apps that have Yandex Messenger embedded, such as Yandex Browser for mobile devices or the Yandex app.
Your message can include:
- A text with or without formatting (the maximum text size is 4096 characters).
- Pictures, files.
- Stickers.
- Links to websites or Turbo pages.
Note
You can invite users to subscribe to your channel in posts. You can also share links to your other channels.
Invite friends to subscribe to your channel
Only you can see the created channel. To invite friends:
- Open the channel in Yandex Messenger.
- Tap
(
for iOS). - Select Chat info.
- Tap Copy the link and send it to a friend.
To become a subscriber, a user needs to follow the link and tap Subscribe to channel.
Troubleshooting
How do I transfer the ownership rights to a channel to another user?
Add them as an admin.
- Open the channel.
- Tap ( for iOS).
- Tap Channel info → Members → Add admin.
Can channels have the same name?
Yes, but it's better to come up with a unique name. This will make it easier for users to find your channel.
Is it allowed to publish other people's pictures, music, or videos?
You can share content from the internet as long as you indicate its author or source.
Can I share news from other sources?
Yes, when you indicate its author or source. Put a quote in quotation marks and indicate its author.
How many channels can I create for one account?
There are no restrictions. You can have any number of channels.
How do I delete a channel?
To delete a channel, press Unsubscribe. If a channel has subscribers, it will exist as long as it has subscribers.
