You can upload your picture to Yandex Mail, and your email recepients will see it next to the From field.

Upload a picture

  1. Open Yandex ID.
  2. Upload an image from your computer or enter a direct link to the image (for example, from a social network).

If you don't upload a profile picture, Yandex Mail will create one automatically. The picture will display your initials against a single-color background (for example, “CC” for Cheshire Cat).

Note

Use Yandex Mail so that your picture is displayed correctly. If your message recipient uses a different mail service, it may not support this feature, and the recipient will not see your picture in the message header.

Change the profile picture

  1. Open Yandex ID.

  2. Upload an image from your computer or enter a direct link to the image (for example, from a social network).

If you upload a new profile picture over an old one, the old picture is saved in Yandex ID. You can always roll back to it by deleting your latest picture.

Deleting a profile picture

  1. Open Yandex ID.

  2. In the window that opens, hover over your picture and and click .

If you've uploaded several pictures (i.e. uploaded a new profile picture over the old one), then only the latest one will be deleted. The older picture will take its place in your profile. If you want to delete all profile pictures, delete each one individually.

If you delete all of your profile pictures, Yandex Mail will create one automatically. The picture will display your initials against a single-color background (for example, “CC” for Cheshire Cat).

Change the profile picture in the Yandex Mail app (Android)

You can change your profile picture in the Yandex Mail app for Android smartphones or tablets:

  1. Pull the screen to the right.
  2. Under the list of folders and labels, tap Settings.
  3. Select the account you want to change the profile picture for.
  4. Press Manage account.
  5. Tap your profile picture.
  6. Upload a new image.

You can't change your profile picture in the Yandex Mail iOS app yet.

Problems with the profile picture

I have uploaded a picture, but it is not displayed

If your picture isn't displayed on the Personal information page or in the email list, you might need to wait for a bit. The system requires some time to load new information about the user. If the picture isn't updated in a week, try clearing your browser cache and deleting all cookies.
