Translating messages

If you write messages in different languages, Yandex Mail can translate your messages into another language or translate messages you receive into English.

Translation of incoming messages

Yandex Mail automatically detects the language of each incoming message and suggests translating it when its language differs from the language of the user interface. Choose one of the available languages from the list or keep the suggested one, and then click Translate.

To see the original text again, click Show original.

If you don't want Yandex Mail to offer translating incoming emails, disable Translate:

1. In the top right corner, click → All settings.
2. Select Interface.
3. Deselect the offer to translate message option.
4. Save your changes.

Translation of outgoing messages

1. Click Translate under the email text box.
2. Select your language from the options and the translation will appear automatically.

If you want to manually alter the translation, click Edit below the text box. In this case, the email will be replaced with the translation, and the original text will no longer be available.

If you don't want to see the translation, click Translate again.
