Auto-upload photo and video from mobile devices to the "Camera" folder

Configure unlimited auto-upload of media files to Yandex Disk if you take a lot of photos and videos with your phone or tablet. This way your photos won't be lost even if something happens to your phone or tablet.

Photos and videos are uploaded to the "Camera" folder. You can view files on the Yandex Disk home page, in the mobile app, and in the desktop program.

Alert

The Camera Uploads folder cannot be modified. If you rename, delete or move the "Camera" folder, a new folder with the same name will be created in its place and all your photos and videos will be uploaded there.

If you don't want to store your photos and videos in the "Camera" folder, you can move them to any other Yandex Disk folder. The files you have moved won't be uploaded again during the next auto-upload.

Photos and videos automatically uploaded to the "Camera" folder use up space on your Yandex Disk. If you don't want them to take up space, enable unlimited auto-uploads.

Which folder will my photos and videos be in?

Automatically uploaded files will be stored in "Camera". You can also see them under Photos and Feed in the mobile apps and Photos and New files on the Yandex Disk page.

Alert

Under Photos, files are only displayed and not stored. If you delete files from All photos, they will also be deleted from the "Camera" folder. Files deleted from Yandex Disk are stored in the Trash for 30 days. While the files are in the Trash, you can recover them. After 30 days, they are automatically removed from the server. Once deleted from the server, these files cannot be restored.

Manage photos and videos

With auto-uploaded photos and videos, you can do the same thing as with regular files: view them, add them to albums, download, or share them.

You have run out of space on your Yandex Disk because of auto-uploads

When you run out of space on Yandex Disk, your access will be restricted. To remove these restrictions, delete unnecessary files, empty the Trash (files in the Trash also take up space), or buy more storage space. If you don't take any action, access to your Yandex Disk will be completely blocked in 44 days, and after 90 more days, all your files will be permanently deleted. You can learn more about these restrictions in Yandex Disk storage space.

To avoid running out of space on your Yandex Disk due to auto-uploads, enable unlimited auto-uploads.

Photos and videos are no longer uploaded to the "Camera" folder

Most likely, this was because you have enabled unlimited auto-uploads. Media files are not stored in the "Camera" folder when unlimited auto-upload is enabled. You can view them under Photos on the Yandex Disk page.

To strart uploading photos and videos to the "Camera" folder again, disable unlimited auto-uploads.

Other people's photos and videos were uploaded to my Yandex Disk

Someone else's files may end up on your Yandex Disk if you log in on someone else's mobile device. In this case, if auto-uploads are enabled, files from this device will upload to your Yandex Disk.

You can stop uploading other people's files to your Yandex Disk in the following ways:

Log out on all devices

To prevent other people's files from uploading to your Yandex Disk, log out of Yandex Disk on all devices.
