Download

To download a file or folder from your Yandex Disk, select it and click Download in the top panel. Folders are downloaded as ZIP archives.

Download a large folder

In the web version, you can download only folders that contain less than 500 files and are not larger than 5 GB. Use the Yandex Disk desktop application to download larger folders:

  1. Download the application from the Yandex Disk page and install it.

  2. Log in to the application.
    If you still haven't registered on Yandex, click on Register to get started. Then enter your username and password in the application.

    Alert

    If you use or have previously used two-factor authentication, you'll need a one-time password generated by the Yandex Key mobile app to authorize in the Yandex Disk application.

  3. In the context menu of the folder, select Create copy on computer.

    The downloaded folder doesn't sync with the cloud. If you have downloaded a folder, changed something in it, and want the changes to appear in Yandex Disk, upload the folder to Yandex Disk manually.

    If you want to download a folder and sync it with the cloud, select Save to computer from the context menu.

Downloading all files from Yandex Disk

Choose how you want to download all files:

If you want to download files from the Trash or old versions of certain files, restore them before downloading them.

Restore files from the Trash
  1. Open the Yandex Disk page.
  2. Go to Trash.
  3. Choose the files or folders you want to restore.
  4. In the top panel, click Restore.
Restore old versions of files
  1. Open the Yandex Disk page.
  2. Select a file.
  3. Click → Changelog on the top panel or in the context menu.
  4. Select the desired version.
  5. Click Restore → Save as copy.

To download all files through the Yandex Disk desktop application:

  1. Install the Yandex Disk application.
  2. In the application settings, specify the folder on your computer to which you want to download the files. To do this, select File → Settings → Set folder location.... In the Downloads section, select Browse and select the folder on your computer.
  3. Select all files and folders in the Yandex Disk application window.
  4. In the context menu, select Download. The files will be downloaded to the folder you selected for downloads.

  1. Open the Yandex Disk page.
  2. Go to Trash.
  3. Choose the files or folders you want to restore.
  4. In the top panel, click Restore.

  3. Click → Changelog on the top panel or in the context menu.
  4. Select the desired version.
  5. Click Restore → Save as copy.

To download multiple files through your browser:

  1. Open the Yandex Disk page.
  2. Select files.
  3. Click the Download button at the top of the screen. Files are downloaded in an archive format.

You can't download multiple folders. Folders can only be downloaded one at a time. However, you can move all your folders and files to one folder and download that single folder.

Note

Using the browser, you can only download files up to 5 GB. Download folders that are larger than 5 GB via the Yandex Disk desktop application following the instructions.
