Auto-save important files
Connect “Desktop”, “Documents”, and “Images” or any other folders to Auto-save. All changes to these folders will be automatically uploaded to Yandex Disk. This way you won't lose your files if something happens to your computer.
You can only enable auto-save for folders located on the computer, but not on external or network drives. To work properly, auto-save requires constant connection to the folder being saved. A network drive can't provide such a connection.
Note
Auto-save is available in all Yandex 360 Premium and Yandex 360 for Business plans.
Enable auto-save
- Open File → Settings.
- Go to Auto-save folders.
- Select Enable auto-save. The connection wizard opens.
- If you want to add system folders “Desktop”, “Documents” and “Images”, click Enable auto-save. If you want to change the list of folders or add others, click Select folders.
Add folders
If you have already enabled auto-save but want to add new folders:
- Open File → Settings.
- Go to Auto-save folders.
- Click Change folders.
- Click Add folder.
Where are added folders stored on Yandex Disk?
A folder with the name of your computer will be created on Yandex Disk: for example, "Computer Alisa-PC". This folder will contain all the folders you add.
How to view these folders on another computer
Just sync these folders on another computer. You'll be able to view folders from the first computer in the “Yandex Disk” folder on the other one.
- Open the Yandex Disk program on the other computer.
- Select the desired folders.
- Click Save to computer above the file list or in the context menu.
Disable auto-save for the selected folders
- Open File → Settings.
- Go to Auto-save folders.
- Click Change folders.
- Click the
icon opposite the folder for which you want to disable auto-save.
- Click Apply.
If you accidentally selected the wrong folder, you can add it back again by clicking Add folder.
Auto-save for two accounts
You can enable folder auto-save for each account connected to the program that has an active Yandex 360 Premium plan. Auto-save will work simultaneously: for both the active and the background accounts.
The same folder can't be connected to auto-save twice. If you want to change the account where the folder is auto-saved, disconnect it from one account and add it to another.
Disable auto-save
- Open File → Settings.
- Go to Auto-save folders.
- Click Change folders.
- Disable auto-save for all folders by clicking the
icon opposite each of them.
- Click Disable.
