Document scanner

You can scan documents right in the Yandex Disk app. With it, you can scan documents using Smart Camera and then save them in PNG, PDF, or JPG format. The scanner automatically increases the contrast, selects the text area, and adjusts the alignment of the image.

Open Scanner

Use one of the following methods:

• Tap More in the bottom right corner and select Scanner.
• Tap and select Scan.

Scan a document

1. Open Scanner.

2. Point your camera at the document and take a photo. You can also select one from your device gallery. Wait for the app to process the photo. If you're not satisfied with the result, tap Retake to scan the document again.

3. If you want to scan multiple pages, tap Add page.

4. Select the display mode:

   • Original: A photo without any post-processing.
   • Scan: A processed photo (text selection, enhanced contrast).
   • Black and white: A photo processed in black and white only, no gray scale.

5. You can opt to rotate or crop the scan.

6. Tap Save.

7. Enter a name and select the document format (PNG, PDF, or JPG).

8. Choose what you want to do with the scan:

   • Save it to your device's gallery.
   • Save it to Yandex Disk (to the Scans folder).
   • Share it (on social media, in a messaging app, or elsewhere).

View document

If you saved the scanned document to Yandex Disk, you'll find it in Scans.
