# Yandex Notes

Yandex Notes is a service for taking tones and planning tasks. You can keep records on multiple devices simultaneously, such as on a computer and a phone. They'll be automatically saved in Yandex Disk and won't be lost even if something happens to your devices.

{% note alert %}

Yandex Notes supports devices with Android 5 and later.

{% endnote %}

## Create a note {#create}

Go to the tab **Notes** and tap ![](_assets/android/android-notes-plus-small.png). Make it easier to navigate the text of your note by formatting it: bold or italicize your text, underline it or format it as a list. A note can be up to 50,000 characters long.

{% note alert %}

If a note is longer than 50,000 characters, it will be saved only on the phone. To upload the note to Yandex Disk, reduce the number of characters.

{% endnote %}

You can also add an image or other file to your note. The following image formats are supported: `JPG`, `JPEG`, `GIF`, `BMP`, `PNG`. You can add up to 40 images to one note.

Pin important notes at the top of the list so that they are always visible. To do this, select a note and tap ![](_assets/android/android-notes-pin-icon.png) in the top right corner.

{% note alert %}

You can create up to 500 notes.

{% endnote %}

## Delete a note {#delete}

You can delete any note that you no longer need. To do this, select the note, tap ![](_assets/android/android-notes-trash-icon.png) in the top right corner and confirm your action.

{% note info %}

You can't restore deleted notes.

{% endnote %}

## Work with Yandex Notes offline {#no-network}

You can edit your notes without an internet connection. They will be saved on your phone and marked with the ![](_assets/android/android-notes-striked-cloud-icon.png) icon. Once you reconnect to the internet, the notes will be uploaded to Yandex Disk.

If you edit a note which is saved only on your phone from another device, Yandex Disk will create a copy of this note. Changes made from one device will be saved in the original note, and changes made from the other, in the copy.

## Use Yandex Notes on multiple devices {#few-devices}

You can use Yandex Notes on multiple devices like your computer and phone, if you're logged in to Yandex Disk with the same account. For supported platforms, see [Notes in Yandex Disk](https://yandex.com/support/yandex-360/customers/disk/web/en/notes).

If you simultaneously edit the same note on different devices, Yandex Disk will create a copy of this note. Changes made from one device will be saved in the original note, and changes made from the other, in the copy.

If you've encountered a problem in the Yandex Disk app, please report it through the in-app feedback form:

1. Tap the profile picture in the top left corner.
1. Select **Help and support** → **Support**.
1. Specify the subject of your request.
1. Describe the problem in as much detail as possible.

{% note info %}

To report mobile app issues, please do this from within the app, not from the Help section. This will help us get your request to the right support agents, and you'll get a quicker response. When you report a problem through the app, we can also see technical information that helps resolve the issue.

{% endnote %}

If the app crashes and you can't send us a message from it, please use the [feedback form](https://yandex.com/support/yandex-360/customers/disk/app/android/en/default-form.md) to report the error.
