Albums
You can create and fill personal albums the way you like. You can also find themed albums in Yandex Disk, that are created from your photos using computer vision.
If you're on a Yandex 360 Family plan, you can use the family album.

Family album
If you're a member of a family group on a family plan (see the plan details), the family album will appear on Yandex Disk automatically. To give someone access to the family album, you'll need to add them to your family group on Yandex ID. Please note that child accounts won't be given access to the family album. All other members of the family group will be able to add photos to the family album. For more information on family groups and child accounts, see Help for Yandex ID.
Everyone in the family group sees the same family album. However, each album photo is stored on the Yandex Disk of the user who added it to the album.
You can only be in one family account and have one family album. If you accept an invitation to another family, you'll no longer be a member of the previous one.
Adding members to the family
You can't add family members in the mobile app yet. For instructions on how to do this in a desktop browser, see Help for the web version of Yandex Disk.
Where I can find the family album
-
Go to Albums from the bottom panel.
-
Select Family album in the list of albums.
What I can do with the family album
You can't rename or delete the family album.
Only the person who added photos can rename them in the family album and move them between folders on Yandex Disk.
Besides that, you can use the family album and its files just like any other album:
- Browse the album.
- Add photos and videos to the album.
- Delete photos and videos from the album.
- Share a link to the album.
- Delete this link.
- Copy photos to folders on your Yandex Disk and save them to your device.
- Add the photos you like to your other albums. If the photo was added to the family album by another user, it will be copied to your Yandex Disk.
- View information about media files.
- Edit photos.
For instructions and common actions, see Personal albums. For instructions on how to save files to your device, see Download file.
What happens when the family plan expires
If your family plan expires, you'll still have access to your family album. But you won't be able to add new photos to it. Your media files that you added to the family album before will still be on your Yandex Disk.
After the plan is canceled, the available space on Yandex Disk will be reduced. As a result, it may suddenly become full. For more details, see What happens if I run out of space on Yandex Disk
What happens if I stop being a family member
Only family members can access the family album. If the administrator removes you from the family group or you leave it on your own, you'll no longer have access to the album. All the photos you've added to the album will be removed from it. The photos will remain in the folders on your Yandex Disk. If you rejoin the family, you'll have to add the photos to the album again.
After deleting the family group, only the administrator retains access to the album.
Themed albums
Yandex Disk creates themed albums, such as People in the photos, Places and trips, Beautiful, and Sort. These albums display your photos from your other folders on Yandex Disk.
People in the photos
Note
For now, only certain users have the People in the photos album.
In this album, you can easily find all the photos with a specific person. Yandex Disk uses computer vision to analyze photos in your folders and groups photos featuring each person into a separate album. You can assign names to such albums.
Very old photos may not appear in the People in the photos album.
If you don't want Yandex Disk to create and update the People in the photos album, disable grouping in Yandex Disk for web:
- Open disk.yandex.com/client/albums/faces.
- Tap
in the top right corner → Disable photo grouping by people.
- Confirm your action.
Warning
After that, you can't enable grouping again. The People in the photos album will be permanently deleted. The photos will remain on Yandex Disk.
Places and trips
In the "Places and trips" album, you can see all photos of your travels sorted and arranged. Photos from your business trips will never mix up with your vacation shots. Photos of your usual places, such as work and home, are also kept separately. Inside, photos are grouped into albums by the location where they were taken.
Beautiful
In this album, you can see your most beautiful photos. They're great to look at and remember the good times, and you can easily share them with friends.
Sort
In this album, Yandex Disk collects receipts, screenshots from your phone, and blurry and low-quality photos. You can sort them and delete the photos that you don't need.
