Open a file

Tap on the file to open it in Yandex Disk or in the default app for that file.

If you have more than one app on your phone that can open that file type, you can choose the relevant one from the list.

To choose an app manually, select the file and tap Open in....

View files

You can view your files in a list or arrange them as tiles to make the thumbnails larger.

To change the view, tap in the top right corner and select your preferred view: List or Tiles.

You can sort your files by name, size, type, and date modified. Tap to view the available options.

You can view the list of archive contents and each file individually. Tap the file to view it. To save a file to your Yandex Disk or download it to your device, select it and tap the relevant icon.

You can view and edit your photos right in the app.

You can listen to music from your Yandex Disk directly in the app using the built-in audio player. To do this, tap the selected track, and the audio player panel will appear at the bottom of the screen.

The playlist is created automatically from all tracks in the folder.

You can also access the audio player from the Offline section.

I edited the file, but the changes didn't sync

If you opened and changed a downloaded Yandex Disk file on your phone and the changes didn't sync automatically, it's because sync wasn't enabled in the Yandex Disk app. In this case, you can download and upload files only manually. But you can enable photo and video uploads to unlimited storage. How to do this

Video or image quality has decreased

Images are stored on Yandex Disk in their original quality. They are not compressed during upload. However, the Yandex Disk app generates lower-resolution previews to reduce data traffic and provide a smoother user experience. You'll see a preview if the file size doesn't exceed 50 MB. To view an image in its original quality, download it to your mobile device.

If the video quality is low in the app, it's probably because the video player is set to a low resolution. You can select a higher resolution. In the app, you can watch videos in the maximum quality 1080p. If the video resolution is higher, you can download it to your mobile device to watch it in the original quality.

  1. Tap the profile picture in the top left corner.
  2. Select Help and supportSupport.
  3. Specify the subject of your request.
  4. Describe the problem in as much detail as possible.
