Download a file from a shared link
If someone sent you a Yandex Disk link to a file or folder, you can download it to your device.
To save the shared file to your device, click the link you received and then click Download.
Note
You can also copy the file to your Yandex Disk.
Files won't download
Why this happens and how to fix it:
Downloads are disabled for this file
-
If a shared file was downloaded too many times in one day, downloads may be temporarily disabled. This restriction lasts for 24 hours, then you can download the file. If you don't want to wait, save the file to your Yandex Disk using the Save to Yandex Disk button. To download public files without restrictions, activate any Yandex 360 plan. How to do this
Note
You can only download folders that contain less than 10,000 files or are not larger than 50 GB. You can save larger folders to your Yandex Disk if they don't contain files exceeding 1 GB, or if you have an active Yandex 360 plan.
The file owner has disabled downloads
- If the file owner selected the Disable download option when creating the link, you won't be able to download the file or copy it to your Yandex Disk. The file is view-only. Ask the file owner to create a link that allows file downloads.
The internet connection slowed down
- Check your connection speed at yandex.com/internet. Try closing other apps that are using the internet, and then restart Yandex Disk.
I downloaded a file and edited it, but the changes didn't sync
If you changed a downloaded Yandex Disk file on your phone and the changes didn't sync automatically, it's because sync wasn't enabled in the Yandex Disk app. In this case, you can download and upload files only manually. But you can enable photo and video uploads to unlimited storage. How to do this
