Delete files

To delete files or folders from Yandex Disk:

  1. Select them and tap  → Delete.
  2. Once you confirm deletion, all selected files will be moved to the Trash.

Files deleted from Yandex Disk end up in the Trash and still take up space on Yandex Disk. They will be automatically deleted in 30 days. To free up space, empty the Trash manually. How to empty the Trash

Restore deleted files and folders from the Trash

You can restore the deleted files and folders while they're still in the Trash:

  1. In the bottom bar, tap Files, then select Trash in the top bar.
  2. Select the files or folders and tap . The selected files and folders will be restored to their original location.

Alert

Once files are deleted from the Trash, you won't be able to restore them anymore.

Empty the Trash

There are two ways to empty the Trash :

  1. In the bottom bar, tap Files, then select Trash in the top bar.
  2. In the bottom bar, tap Empty Trash.

  2. Select the files you want to delete from the Trash.
  3. In the top bar, tap .

Alert

If you empty the Trash, the files inside will be permanently deleted.

Clear your Yandex Disk

To delete everything from Yandex Disk, select all folders and files and delete them (see Delete files), then empty the Trash (see Empty the Trash).

Alert

If you clear your Yandex Disk, you won't be able to restore the deleted files.

  4. Describe the problem in as much detail as possible.
