Create a video meeting

In Yandex Telemost, meetings have no time limit and can accommodate up to 500 participants. The maximum number of participants in a meeting depends on your service plan.

You need a Yandex account to create video meetings.

  1. Open Yandex Telemost wherever is convenient for you.

  2. If this is your first time using Yandex.Telemost, grant it access your microphone and camera.

  3. If you don't want use video or the microphone during the meeting, turn them off.

  4. Click Create video meeting.

  5. The link to the meeting is automatically copied to the clipboard so you can send it to your or colleagues.

The creator of the meeting becomes its host.

Schedule a video meeting

If you're planning to catch up with or colleagues on a certain day, schedule a meeting in advance. The event will appear in Yandex Calendar, and everyone you added will get a reminder.

  1. Open Yandex Telemost.

  2. Click Schedule.

  3. Enter the meeting name and description. A link to the video meeting is automatically added to the description.

  4. Select the access type: For all users or For employees only.

    Note

    Only users with accounts on your company's domain can join meetings for employees. The host and co-hosts can manage access during the meeting.

  5. Choose the date and time.

    If it's a recurring meeting, select Repeat. Specify on which days and how often the meetings will be held. Add the date of the last meeting to the calendar, if necessary.

    The link will appear in the description three hours before each meeting. The link will also be sent to all participants by email, SMS, or CalDAV.

  6. Add participants to the meeting.

  7. Set up notifications.

    Specify when to send the meeting reminder and the reminder type: email, SMS, or via CalDAV.

  8. Press Create, and the meeting will be added to Yandex Calendar.

I can't create a video meeting

  1. Make sure your computer has an active internet connection. For example, try opening https://yandex.com. If there is no connection, restart your router. If this didn't help, contact your service provider.

  2. Close the browser where you're using Yandex Telemost, and then open it again.

  3. Make sure that camera and microphone access is allowed in your device operating system settings.
