The person who creates a video meeting automatically becomes its host. They can mute microphones of participants, turn off their cameras, stop screen sharing, disable recording. For example, if someone forgets to mute their mic during a lecture, the host can mute everyone. If a meeting is too large or hard to manage, the host can appoint co-hosts to help.
To see who the host is, open the list of participants.
Mute participants
There are several ways to mute a meeting participant:
In the gallery
Hover over the participant whose microphone is unmuted.
Click to the right of their name.
In the participants list
Open the list of meeting participants .
Find the person you want to mute.
Click to the right of their name.
The person will see the message “The host muted you”. After that, they can unmute their microphone any time, as usual.
As the host, you can also mute everyone who has joined the meeting with audio:

Find your name in the gallery.
Click on the right.
Choose Mute everyone.
In the participants list
Open the list of meeting participants .
Click .
Choose Mute everyone.
Turn off video
There are several ways to turn off a meeting participant's video:
In the gallery
Hover over the meeting participant you want to turn off the video for.
Click to the right of their name.
Choose Turn off camera.
In the participants list
Open the list of meeting participants .
Find the person you want to turn off the camera for.
Click to the right of their name.
Choose Turn off camera.
The person will see the message “Camera turned off by host”. After that, they can turn their camera back on at any time, as usual.
As the host, you can also turn off the cameras for everyone who turned them on:

Find your name in the gallery.
Click on the right.
Choose Turn off everyone's camera.
In the participants list
Open the list of meeting participants .
Click .
Choose Turn off everyone's camera.
Stop screen sharing
In the gallery
Hover over the participant who is sharing their screen.
Click to the right of their name.
Choose Stop sharing.
In the participants list
Open the list of meeting participants .
Find the person who is sharing their screen.
Click to the right of their name.
Choose Stop sharing.
The person will see the message “Screen sharing stopped by host”. After that, they can share their screen again at any time.
Make a co-host
To become a co-host, a person needs to be logged in to Yandex Telemost with their Yandex ID.
In the gallery
Hover over the meeting participant you want to make a co-host.
Click to the right of their name.
Choose Make co-host.
In the participants list
Open the list of meeting participants .
Find the person you want to make a co-host.
Click to the right of their name.
Choose Make co-host.
After that, this person gets the message: " made you the meeting co-host".
Disable meeting recording for participants
By default, any participant can record a meeting in Yandex Telemost for browser and desktop. The host and co-hosts can control this capability:
During the meeting, at the bottom of the screen, click → Permissions.
Disable the Record the meeting option. After that, participants cannot make recordings. The host and co-hosts can still record the meeting.
When you disable meeting recording for participants:
The Start recording menu item disappears for all participants in Yandex Telemost for browser and desktop.
Participants who are recording the meeting receive a notification that the recording capability is no longer available, and their recording is interrupted and not saved.
Manage access to a meeting
The host and co-hosts can provide access to a meeting for all users or just for their company employees. Only users with accounts on your company's domain can join meetings for employees.
To modify access:
Open the list of meeting participants .
Click to the right of the current access type.
In the drop-down list, select For employees only or For all users.
Remove from meeting
The host and co-hosts can remove users from the meeting. The available actions depend on the access type:

Open the list of meeting participants .
Find the person you want to remove.
Click to the right of their name.
Select Remove from meeting.
Enable the Ban for 24 hours option if necessary and click Remove.
If this option is disabled, the user can rejoin the meeting in one minute.
Users who are removed see the message: “You were removed from this meeting. Try joining later».
Users who are denied access see the message: “You were removed from this meeting. The meeting was made unavailable for one day. Try joining later.»
Open the list of meeting participants .
Find the person you want to remove.
Click to the right of their name.
Select Remove from meeting.
Users who are removed see the message: “You were removed from this meeting”.
End meeting for everyone
The host and co-hosts can end the meeting for all participants at once:
