Add people to selected work chats

If you regularly work with people outside your organization, your admin can invite them as guests. Once invited, you can add them to your work chats. How to invite users

Guest permissions in organization chats

Guests can access any organization chat they were added to, but they can't join or leave chats on their own. Only employees can add or remove them.

  • Add reactions.
  • Send and download files in a group chat, if allowed in the chat's settings.
  • Search for employee contacts.
  • Create chats and channels.

  • Download files from private chats.

How to become a guest

Wait for an invite from the organization. You’ll receive an email invitation that’s valid for three days. If the invite expires, you’ll need a new one.

Click the link in your invitation email to open Yandex Messenger. Log in with the same email address that received the invitation. Your guest access will remain until your organization removes you from the guest list.

Organization labels

A Guest label appears next to the guest's name and on their profile. Group chats and channels with guests will also display the guest icon.

What happens when a guest is removed

The guest will be removed from your Yandex Messenger contacts, group chats, and channels. Private chats with that guest will be deleted, too.

To allow guests to download files, the group chat admin must enable the Guests can download files option in the chat's settings.
