Recurring events
You can create recurring events in the Yandex Calendar app. Both simple and complex schedules are supported:
- Third Thursday of every month.
- Every day of every third week.
- March 25, every fifth year.
Setting up a simple schedule
Basic recurring schedules, such as weekdays or weekly, are pre-set in the app. Simply select the one you want.
- Create a new event or start editing an existing one.
- Tap Repeat.
- Select a schedule.
- Save the event.
Setting up a complex schedule
If you don't see the schedule you're looking for, create a custom one.
Step 1
Create the first event in the series with a date that aligns with the schedule. For example, if you want to repeat the event on every third Thursday of every month, set the event for the third Thursday of some month, such as for February 20, 2025.
Step 2
Tap Repeat and select Custom.
You can use an existing schedule as a template
If you need to slightly edit an existing schedule (for example, repeating a meeting on weekdays except Fridays):
- Select a default schedule. For example, "Every weekday".
- Then tap "Repeat" again and select Custom.
The schedule settings window will open.
Step 3
In the first section, set the time unit to define the recurrence period.
For example, if you select day, you can set the event to repeat every few days. Or it can be every few years, if you select year.
Here are the examples of schedules that you can set based on different time units:

Step 4 (required, if you selected a week or a month)
If you selected "week" or "month" at the previous step, specify the days of the week or the date of the month when the event should occur.
If you set up a weekly event, select the days of the week when the event should occur.
For example, the setting below means that the event will appear in the participants' calendars every weekday, but bi-weekly instead of every week.
If you want the event to occur on different days across different weeks
Create multiple recurring events.
For example, the workshop takes place every week, but on different days:
- On even weeks: on Tuesday and Thursday.
- On odd weeks: on Wednesday and Friday.
First, create a recurring event for even weeks:
- Select a date during an even week and create the first event of the series.
- Set up a recurring event: on Tuesdays and Thursdays every two weeks.
- In the same way, create a second series with Wednesdays and Fridays for odd weeks.
When setting up a monthly event, you have two options to choose from:
- Repeat events monthly, based on the date, such as on the 20th of each month.
- Repeat events monthly, based on the day of the week, such as every third Tuesday.
How can I change the date or day of the week
There are a few options:
To select a different day (for example, the 15th of every month or every other Wednesday), exit the repeat setup and change the date of the first event in the series. If the series of events should repeat on the second Wednesday of every month, the date of the first event must also be a second Wednesday.
Step 5
If needed, set an end date for the recurring event.
