    • Name
    • Color
    • Event notification time
    • Notification delivery method: email, SMS, or mobile app
    • Meeting duration
    • Event visibility

  4. If you want all the events you create to be added to this calendar by default, enable the Default calendar option.

  5. Click Create.

You can create as many calendars as you need specifically for your goals. For example, a calendar for your colleagues' birthdays, one for business meetings and another for webinars. You can view all your events together or separately by choosing which ones you want to display.

Importing events from another calendar

Tip

To import events from Google Calendar, follow this guide.

You can import events from another calendar to Yandex Calendar. The source of the imported calendar can be an external link (URL) or a file in the *.ics (iCal) format. Events are imported on a one-time basis. The calendars aren't synchronized after the import.

What delivery method do you want to use for importing events?

  1. Click New calendar in the left-hand panel.

  2. Go to the Import tab.

  3. Select From file.

  4. Select a file in iCal format (*.ics) on your computer.

Events can't be imported if the file is in a different format. An "Unable to obtain information" message will appear in that case.

  5. Select the calendar you want to import events to.

  6. Click Import.

Note

The import can take a few hours, depending on the amount of data.

  1. Click New calendar in the left-hand panel.

  2. Go to the Import tab.

  3. Select From URL.

  4. Enter the calendar's address in iCalendar format (for example, http://www.example.com/calendars/calendar.ics).

Events can't be imported if the link is in a different format or requires authorization. An "Unable to obtain information" message will appear in that case.

  5. Select the calendar you want to import events to. You can choose an existing calendar or create a new one.

  6. Click Import.

Note

The import can take a few hours depending on the amount of data.

Deleting an imported calendar

Did you import your events to an existing calendar or did you create a new one?

In this case, you won't be able to delete all of the imported events at once. You can only delete events one by one. Click an event in the calendar grid, then click the icon.

  1. Hover your mouse over the calendar name in the left-hand panel and click .

  2. Click Delete.

    Note

Deleting an imported calendar automatically transfers its events to another calendar. If you don't want any of your events to be saved, disable the Move events to another calendar option.

  3. Confirm deletion.

Subscribing to a calendar

You can subscribe to a calendar hosted on another resource. In Yandex Calendar, you can see all of the events from other calendars, but you can't change any of them or add new events.

The synchronization frequency for the calendars you're subscribed to can range from every few hours to once every day or two.

  1. Click New subscription in the left-hand panel.

  2. Enter the calendar's address in iCalendar format (for example, http://www.example.com/calendars/calendar.ics).

  3. Configure the following:

    • Name
    • Color
    • Event notification time
    • Notification delivery method: email, SMS, or mobile app
    • Meeting duration
    • Event visibility
  4. Click Create.

All changes are automatically displayed in Yandex Calendar if the following conditions are met:

  • You're connected to the internet

  • You have access to the site or resource hosting the calendar.
