Domain aliases (synonyms)
In Yandex 360, you can connect multiple domains to a single organization: one of them will be the primary domain, and the others will be aliases (synonyms).
For example, after rebranding, you can add the organization's previous domain as an alias to avoid missing emails from existing customers.
All mail sent to the domain alias will be delivered to the corresponding mailboxes of the employees. In turn, employees can choose from which address to send an email.
How to add an alias
The process of adding an alias is no different from adding your first domain:
- Open the organization's account admin.yandex.ru.
- In the menu, select General settings → Domains.
- Enter the domain name and click Add domain.
- Set up and verify the domain or delegate it. What does it mean?
The difference between an alias and the primary domain
- By default, emails are sent from the primary domain.
- The primary domain is used in the interface of the organization's account and in Yandex 360 services, such as when creating an employee account or a meeting.
- The primary domain can't be deleted (in other words, disconnected from the organization).
How to change the organization's primary domain
- Connect a new domain as an alias.
- Click ⋮ in the section with this domain and select Make this the primary domain.
After that, you can either disconnect the old domain from the organization or keep it as an alias.
- What happens with employees' mailboxes and meeting room email addresses after changing the primary domain:

The mailboxes of your organization's employees will be moved to your new primary domain. All data in the mailboxes will be saved.

The old domain in email addresses of meeting rooms will change to the new primary domain. For example, you decided to change the domain from
company1.com
tocompany2.com
. The email addressmeeting-room@company1.com
for the "Meeting room" will change tomeeting-room@company2.com
. In existing meetings, the old meeting room address will also change to the new one.
Note
If an external participant edits the meeting after the domain has changed, the booking of the meeting room with the new address will be canceled. This won't happen if an internal employee edits the meeting.
