Viewing files

In the browser, you can:

  • View e-books and documents, images, and video files.
  • Listen to audio files.

Reading e-books

The browser can open e-book files with the extensions epub, fb2 and fb2.zip. You can page through books, place bookmarks, and view the list of bookmarks and contents.

To open a book from an electronic library, click the link with the name of the book in the appropriate format. By default, the book opens on the same tab. You can always return to the previous page (where you opened the book from) by clicking the button

To open a book you have recently closed:

  1. Open the Tableau.
  2. Go to the Recently closed tab.
  3. Click the link with the name of the desired book.

The zoom can also be changed using keyboard shortcuts
  • Zoom in: Ctrl + Plus (for Windows) or + Plus (for Mac OS).
  • Zoom out. Ctrl + Minus (for Windows) or + Minus (for Mac OS).
  • Set page zoom at 100%: Ctrl + 0 (for Windows) or + 0 (for Mac OS).

Reading documents

The browser lets you view files with the extensions doc, docx, ppt, pptx, rtf, pdf (for Windows) and pdf (for Mac OS).

To open a file for viewing in the browser, click the link to download this file. The file loads and opens on a new tab.

Tip. You can disable the document viewing function in the browser. To do this, open a file and click Disable quick view for <file format> in the SmartBox. In the future, all files in this format will be saved without previewing.

To open a file you have recently closed:
