The new Yandex.Webmaster combines the most important indexing metrics in a new interface. This allows you to see how many pages the robot has crawled, how many of them can already be found in Yandex Search, and how many were excluded from the index. The chart shows the dynamics of these indicators.
You can easily control how the site structure is shown in Yandex.Webmaster. You can group smaller sections together, or you can create virtual sections that include pages from different sections. For example, this type of section might combine information on all pages with the word "table" in the URL.
The service shows you all the queries that produce your site in search results. Data on the number of impressions, click-throughs, and CTR help you find weak areas in promoting your site. For example, they can help you find important queries for promoting your site that have a low CTR for some reason. Perhaps the description of the page that is shown for these queries doesn't meet the expectations of the audience. Once you have ascertained this, you can fix the text on the page and improve the snippet's CTR.
You can combine the queries that you track most often in a single group. For example, you may create a group of queries containing the word “phone”. Then you can easily get full statistics on your site's positions for these queries. Positions are updated daily and calculated according to the results that the user sees (including nested regions, personalized results, and so on).
You can use Yandex.Webmaster to check how your site looks on mobile devices.
If your site or some of its pages are not displayed properly on mobile devices, this may negatively affect Yandex mobile results. In this case, review the general recommendations for displaying sites on mobile devices.
Yandex.Webmaster checks a site for about twenty typical technical errors, and helps you identify and resolve underlying issues on the site. The history of these tests is saved.
The service can detect both fatal errors leading to lowered positions or exclusion from search results, and errors that affect the speed and quality of site indexing. When errors are found, you see messages in the Yandex.Webmaster interface with suggestions for fixing the problems.
Yandex.Webmaster also offers recommendations for how to improve your site's representation in search results. For more information, see Site diagnostics.
If you are promoting a site in Yandex Search using methods that artificially influence its ranking, the site may be demoted in search results or completely excluded.
You can check whether any ranking restrictions have been placed on the site in the Violations section. There you will find information about violations found on the site. When you have eliminated all the issues, you can inform Yandex of this by clicking "I've fixed everything".
